RCS Logistics, a leading third-party logistics provider based in Corby, Northamptonshire, have successfully passed the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard in Storage and Distribution; Issue 3. Surpassing their previous score of an A Grade, they have maintained and improved their systems even further to achieve the double AA!
Between the 27th and 29th of February 2018, RCS Logistics were put to the test undergoing their BRC accreditation audit. The objective of which is to ensure that product integrity during storage and distribution are maintained and that customer confidence is upheld through audit and certification.

Having worked with some of the UK’s largest food brands and having been awarded a number of FMCG contracts since first gaining the BRC accreditation in 2016, the BRC accreditation gives the customers of RCS Logistics who are in the food and drink industry peace of mind that they’re receiving the highest level of service in their supply chain operations.
A food-based client of RCS Logistics commented, “The standout part of working with RCS for me is their openness to investigating and trialing new ways of working to improve service levels and supply chain efficiencies. They understand the importance of a service underpinned by strong systems capability, whilst not forgetting the need to maintain strong relationships with their customers through dedicated account management structures.”

Developed by multi-stakeholder groups including industry representatives from certification bodies, food service organizations and retailers, the BRC Global Standard is designed to reflect best practice and facilitate a process of continuous improvement through a well-designed risk-based product safety management system.

The Quality Manager at RCS Logistics, Oana Pricop, added, “The systems and procedures that we enforce on a day to day basis have been recognised once again. Not only have we maintained our previously awarded A-level standard, we have improved and strengthened these systems to Double A Standard. The BRC accreditation, as well as our ISO 9001;2015 certification, proves that our customers are in business with a company continuously developing and progressing by using the best practice methods.”
