Award-winning plant-based brand Fry’s Family Foods have teamed up with
Aardman Animations and Netflix to celebrate the long-awaited movie Chicken
Run: Dawn of the Nugget with the launch of an exclusive new plant-based
breaded nugget.

Just in time for Veganuary, Fry’s new nugget will be available at Tesco,
Iceland, The Food Warehouse and selected Spar stores.

The new and improved nuggets are, like all of Fry’s products, 100% vegan.
Made from a mix of non-GM soy, wheat and pea protein, and coated in a
crispy golden crumb.

“It’s a massive win for us to be collaborating with such an iconic movie brand,
and the likes of Netflix and Aardman”, says Nicola Yates, Head of Marketing
at Fry’s and LIVEKINDLY Collective in the UK.

Nicola Yates continues:
“We hope that bringing such an exciting collaboration to the meat free aisle
will engage even more consumers to try plant-based this Veganuary and
beyond. It couldn’t be a better fit for us – bringing out a new plant-based
nugget just in time for those family movie moments watching the film. We
really hope that this will encourage families up and down the country to try
plant-based for the first time or swap out a few more meals.”

Lucy Wendover, Marketing Director at Aardman, comments:
“We’re delighted to be collaborating with Fry’s to celebrate the release of
Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget on Netflix. We’re really pleased to have found
in Fry’s a family facing brand to partner with, for a plant-based nugget which
families around the country will enjoy while they watch the film.”

Fry’s new plant-based nuggets are launching into Tesco, Iceland, The Food
Warehouse and selected Spar stores nationwide from 26th of December.
Recommended retail price £3.00 (320g). The product will be on a half price
promotion until the 15th of January in Tesco, Iceland and The Food
Warehouse as part of an extensive Veganuary campaign.

Veganuary is an annual challenge run by a UK nonprofit organisation that
encourages people to try going plant-based for the month of January.

Toni Vernelli, Communications manager at Veganuary comments:
”We know that families are increasingly having conversations over the dinner
table about what they are eating and why. We’re excited that the collaboration
between Fry’s and the movie Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget during this
Veganuary will bring even more awareness about the many reasons to
choose plant-based and show families and parents that there are delicious
options like Fry’s nuggets to make it easier than ever.”

Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget debuts globally on Netflix on
15th December 2023.

About Fry’s Family Foods

It all began in the Fry family kitchen in 1991, where Wally and Debbie Fry
began making burgers and sausages without meat. Debbie was born
vegetarian, and Wally (an avid meat eater) changed after meeting Debbie
(she got her way!). The Fry’s range of vegan products is now available all
over the world, making eating a plant-based diet that is good for you, and the
planet, that much easier.

In 2020, The Fry Family Food Co. joined forces with LIVEKINDLY Collective
to create a leading a global movement to build a sustainable future by making
plant-based living the new norm. This unique collective is on track to become
one of the world’s largest plant-based food companies.

The Fry family themselves are still very involved in the running of the day-to-
day business and are often instrumental in coming up with new product ideas
that suit busy family lives. Fry’s truly is a family business.

The Fry’s range of vegan food was awarded Best Vegan Meat in the VegFest
Awards in the UK in 2020 and again in 2021.
