ZIZZI WINS BEST PIZZA AT PETA'S VEGAN FOOD AWARDS

Leading Italian restaurant chain, Zizzi, has won the award of Best Vegan Pizza with its Rustica Margherita, at this year’s prestigious PETA’s Vegan Food Awards.

The Rustica Margherita pizza is made with a delicious dairy-free cheese, fresh tomato sauce and a stunning selection of vegetables layered on top.

PETA commented: “This national chain has won over the UK’s vegans by offering a dairy-free cheese option on any of its pizzas. With a crispy thin crust, zesty tomato sauce, a selection of vegetable toppings and gooey vegan cheese, we think the Vegan Rustica Margherita pizza is the best. Moreish starters and luscious desserts, too?! You had us at “vegan cheese”.”

Earlier this year, Zizzi’s spring summer menu saw it become the first restaurant chain in the UK to provide vegan pizza options that include a mozzarella alternative, allowing anyone who is dairy free or vegan to enjoy great pizza when dining out.

This season’s menu expands the chain’s vegan and vegetarian offering further, with the addition of a vegan lentil ragu and a new vegan coconut gelato.
