NEW PARTNERSHIP SEES INTERFOOD BRING SALVA OVENS TO UK May 2, 2024 News The offering from Interfood Technology’s Bakery Division has been extended with a staple piece ofequipment for the production of baked goods – the oven. Interfood has signed a partnership deal with world renowned oven manufacturer Salva to represent theSan Sebastian based family-owned company in the UK. This will cover the whole range of deck, rotaryand fixed rack convection ovens, along with ancillary equipment including retarder provers, mixers andblenders. The range offers options to cover the requirements of retail craft bakeries through to semi-industrialoperations, with electric ovens which are characterised by their low energy use, realising typical savingsof £700 pounds per year, per deck. The modular ovens are custom built, with the potential to configureindividual decks for different applications. Consistency of bake is a fundamental focus in the manufacture of the ovens on site at Salva’s factory inthe Basque region of Northern Spain. The deck ovens feature ceramic heaters which hold thetemperature, resulting in a loaf with a crusty finish all over. The convection ovens use a heated andstatic air circulation system that achieves uniform baking by avoiding hot and cold spots. The controlsare also designed to enable high quality baking time and time again, with the smart touch control paneldeveloped by Salva to be user-friendly and intuitive, offering useful information such as energyconsumption data, warnings and alarm screens.
