Fully baked and frozen – The Perfect Pita For Any Sausage!

Nina Bakery’s ready-baked Sub pitas – the perfect pita for hot dogs or any other filling, are to be launched on February 29 at Hotelympia in London, the UK’s largest foodservice and hospitality exposition.

Nina Bakery, a leading producer of artisanal pita breads for the restaurant and catering industries, will be highlighting its new, but traditionally baked, Sub pitas at Hotelympia, which will be held from February 29 to March 3 at the Excel Centre. The Sub pita comes in one size 28 x 8 cm, 100 g.

“Slow baked, our Sub pitas offer a new and subtle taste sensation which will allow caterers to differentiate their offerings,” said Nina Bakery’s CEO, Pierre Nehmeh.

“A pita made from 100% natural ingredients wrapped around a delicious sausage offers a different taste to traditional buns, which enriches the customer’s experience.

“Today there are many quickly produced products which just don’t taste the same as the traditionally baked. That’s why we use traditional slow food methods. The taste is just so much better,” Nehmeh said.

Nina Bakery’s traditional pitas are artisan-baked from the finest, clean label, completely additive free, pure ingredients, without added sugar or fat. Slowly stone baked to perfection, Nina Bakery pitas, which come in a range of sizes are airy, fluffy and moist but also sufficiently firm so they do not tear.

Nina Bakery’s pita bread is baked with sourdough and minimum quantities of yeast. The pitas are clean label: no preservatives and no improvers (E numbers) are used. Nina’s pitas have the great taste and smell of freshly baked bread as soon as they are warmed up. Each pita has a pocket, ready for whichever filling the chef desires.

Nina Bakery, which has been operating for more than 70 years, distributes from the Netherlands from where it supplies customers across Europe. Its range of pita bread varies from the bite-size, 6 cm, 18 gram, cocktail, to the 18cm, 200 gram, XL Nina pita, and comes in a variety of shapes. It is supplied to the trade frozen with an 18 month shelf life.
