Foodex 2014 proved an excellent shop window for Interfood to demonstrate the latest additions to its range of processing equipment and ingredients, with visitors expressing a great deal of interest in the new products available from the company’s seven specialist divisions.

Joint Managing Director, Jim Sydenham, commented: “This year we wanted to illustrate the way that technology is becoming such a central feature in the food processing industry. We had several machines on the stand but we also used touch screens, increasingly employed to control many of our machines, to illustrate the comprehensive range of solutions that we now offer.”

Mark Bishop, Joint Managing Director, continued: “We are pleased not only with the number of enquiries but also with the quality, even taking orders for machines directly on the stand.”

It was the first time at Foodex for Interfood’s Packing Solutions Division, the latest addition to the company’s product offering which now covers Ingredients & Product Development, Fresh Meat Portioning, Preparation, Curing to Clipping, Cooking & Cooling/Pasteurisation, Slicing, and Packing Solutions. This Divisions-based approach reflects Interfood’s commitment to providing specialist teams of engineers and support personnel for each processing sector represented.
