Multi-Year Deal Grants Worldwide Rights For Retail Loyalty Promotions

TCC, the global leader in retail marketing programmes designed to change shopper behaviour, has been granted the license for the use of Rovio’s hugely successful Angry Birds franchise in retail loyalty promotions.

The multi-year agreement grants TCC worldwide rights in a wide range of retail distribution channels including: supermarkets and hypermarkets, drug stores, health and beauty chains, newspaper and newspaper kiosks, fuel chains and convenience stores. TCC and Rovio are currently developing ranges of products that can be used in their programmes. These will include a range of figural ceramic mugs, soft toys, as well as other collectable items.

Rovio’s world-dominating Angry Birds franchise, which consists of the games Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio, recently passed 250 million total downloads on various platforms across the world. The Angry Birds games have enjoyed continuing worldwide chart success, and the franchise has since expanded to a variety of new business areas. Rovio is rapidly expanding its activities in broadcast media, merchandising and publishing.
