Sandbach-based flooring manufacturer Flowcrete UK will be making the short journey across the county to the 116th International Cheese Awards at Nantwich, to showcase its fresh approach to flooring within the food sector.

Representatives from the company will be showcasing Flowcrete UK’s range of seamless, hygienic systems – which have been installed across the globe for more than 30 years.

The 116th International Cheese Awards takes place this year on July 30th and 31st, at Dorford Park.

Last year it attracted more than 3,900 entries from 28 countries, representing the who’s who of the UK and international cheese and dairy industry.

The scale of the event has led Flowcrete to exhibit for the first time – showing

visitors how its Flowfresh flooring system meets the unique requirements for this sector, including the ability to withstand lactic acid, which is used as part of the cheese-making process.

Flowfresh also features a steam cleanable, slip resistant and hard wearing polyurethane finish, and the inclusion of the Polygiene® additive – a silver-ion based antimicrobial treatment, which is placed within the resinous flooring material.

This enables the floor coating to control up to 99.9 per cent of all bacteria landing on the surface of the floor, giving an ideal platform to support the stringent hygiene requirements of modern processing environments.

Flowcrete can also deliver a complete wall-to-floor food industry solution, comprising of Flowcrete antimicrobial polyurethane finish, complete with stainless steel drainage, as well as antimicrobial wall cladding.
