“Big Enough to Cope, Small Enough to Care” is a hackneyed phrase that many companies trot out. However, one family-owned business that has made a major success of this approach over the last 40 years is Wilder Logistics Limited. Currently based at London’s Heathrow International Airport, the company offers a full range of Road, Air and Sea Import and Export services.

Furthermore, direct links to UK’s HM Revenue and Customs enable fast and efficient customs clearance to be obtained on all consignments.

High quality customer service is central to everything the company does, with the entire team understanding the challenges faced by importers and exporters, which means they are committed to supporting customers at each stage of the supply chain

Perishables:

Wilder began its Perishable Logistics services more than 20 year ago, and has grown this frozen and chilled business over the years, making maximum use of its 200m2 chilled facility, its refrigerated vans and trucks. Plans are in hand for a new, larger Chilled and Frozen storage facility to be created during the second half of 2011.

Provide temperature-controlled links to all major UK destinations and to destinations in Europe and Ireland, Wilder can provide clients with the full logistical package, from door to door.

One key aspect of this work is that Wilder’s experienced staff are trained in the complex areas of plant and port health regulations to ensure that freight is cleared quickly and efficiently. With full registration to both the PEACH and TRACES systems, all pre-notifications and health clearances can be carried out with the minimum of fuss.

Airfreight

This is where the company began and its staff now has almost 40 years of dealing with all aspects of importing and exporting by air. Larger premises capable of handling both general freight and perishable traffic will replace the present facilities at Heathrow Airport during 2011.

The company has created dedicated teams for imports, exports, perishables, general freight, allowing total focus and dedication to each arrival.

This means that every customer, no matter how large or how small is treated in exactly the same professional and personal manner. Furthermore, as a member of the World Cargo Alliance and Perishable Logistics Alliance , the company has network links to experienced, reputable cargo agents in most international airports and seaports throughout the world.

Sea Freight

Originally handled from the Heathrow office, from 1st March 2011, all of the sea freight business has been transferred to a new purpose-built facility at Felixstowe. Wilder has extensive, well-proven links to all UK ports and, through its network partners, to most international ports. Again, the systems at Wilder, well tried and tested over the years means that, no matter whether the load is general or perishable cargo, we will ensure your shipment receives all the attention it deserves to ensure that you obtain clearance and delivery in a timely and cost effective manner.

The company has comprehensive offering of local, national and international logistics services that it can tailor to customers’ specific and individual requirements, with obligation free quoting also available.
