Tankspeed-Fraikin is located in Newport, South Wales, and specialises in the transportation of dry bulk products in tank containers for the powder industry, using its own tank containers. The Company uses sub-contracted haulage based in most major European ports to service its core business. The main flows of traffic run between Holland, Belgium, Germany, Ireland and UK using intermodal services by road, ship and rail; Eastern Europe and Scandinavia are also serviced.

Tankspeed-Fraikin operates its own 30, 33 and 40ft powder pressurized tanks. It has dedicated tanks for dry powder products for the food industry, but also transports dedicated tanks with products for the building industry and oil refineries. Tankspeed-Fraikin is continually growing its business and invests annually in new equipment

The company previously operated under the name of Tankspeed Limited, a wholly owned company of Mersey Docks & Harbour Group. However, Peel Ports purchased Mersey Docks in September 2005 and a restructure of the company resulted in the transfer of ownership of the powders division of Tankspeed to Tankspeed-Fraikin Limited., now owned by the German company M.Fraikin Spedition GmbH, which has been established for over 35 years. Tankspeed Limited and Fraikin Spedition GmbH had worked in partnership together over the previous 10 years, and staff from Tankspeed transferred to the new company to continue to provide the expertise required to develop and expand the business and continue the excellent communication already established with existing customers. Tankspeed-Fraikin was formed in October 2005 and its success is based on the first class service provided to meet the logistical requirements set by its customers.

Tankspeed-Fraikin has a small team of personnel, who have over 30 years experience in this line of business. In the UK, Mitzi Walker (Managing Director) is responsible for sales and business development, while Jeff Leadley (Operations Manager) is responsible for the day-to-day operations. John Cooper (Fleet Engineer), with over 40 years in the business, looks after the fleet of equipment and oversees inspections and regular maintenance and new build projects. In Germany, owner Manfred Fraikin, who heads
M. Fraikin Spedition GmbH, oversees the continental operation from Germany.
