In October 2010 the Cairngorm Brewery received Best Beer Award from the Vegetarian Society.

Cairngorm is a small independent Brewery situated in the village of Aviemore within the Cairngorms National Park, in the Highlands of Scotland.

From a rich dark stout to a light continental style, Cairngorm Brewery beers cover a wide range of flavours and tastes. “We are keen to keep traditional recipes alive, as well as brewing new and interesting styles, by using old and new malt and hop varieties, with new twists. Since 2001 our ales have won various awards and accolades, which recognise our dedication to producing quality beers.”

With 8 vegetarian approved products available in 500ml bottles, Black Gold is a smooth Scottish stout, with a wonderful rich dark colour. A smooth full-bodied beer with a subtle bitterness giving way to a late sweetness and underlying roast barley hints.
