The malt loaf has been a family favourite for decades. With an increase in demand, as people look to enjoy healthier lifestyles, Soreen Bakery turned to the UK’s leading materials handling solutions provider, Briggs Equipment, for a new fleet of forklift trucks to help meet demand from national supermarkets.

Soreen Bakery distributes around one million of its malt loaves to supermarkets each week from its dedicated Manchester facility and needed a supplier with the flexibility and reliability to help maintain efficiency levels.

Briggs Equipment carried out a thorough survey to understand Soreen’s operation and its solution is saving the bakery money through more efficient use of a bespoke forklift fleet. The five year contract also includes full service and maintenance from local engineers to keep the fleet running smoothly.
