Lorien Engineering Solutions, the Midlands-based engineering design and project management firm, is gearing up for further success in one of its key growth areas following the appointment of Oliver Jenkins as Business Development Manager.

Experienced in renewable waste and energy projects, Oliver will be working closely with Lorien’s specialist team of engineers to grow the sustainability arm of the business to new and existing clients.

It is a fast-growing area for Lorien, which has expertise spanning waste recycling facilities and waste treatment technologies to renewables and power generation.

Oliver joins Lorien from International Synergies Limited where he provided resource efficiency and waste reduction consultancy to businesses throughout the Midlands.

Commenting on his new role with Lorien, Oliver said: “I’ve joined the business at a really exciting time. We are one of few companies that can actually advise as well as implement sustainability projects. I’m looking forward to playing a key role in building further on their success.”

Lorien Director Steve Turner, who heads the firm’s team of specialist sustainability engineers, said: “We’re sure that Oliver’s previous experience will help us identify new opportunities and build further on what has become a real growth area for us in recent years.”

Lorien’s sustainability team is experienced in dealing with the requirements of companies in the heritage, brewing, food and drinks manufacturing, life sciences and waste industries.

Over the past five years, the firm has worked on in excess of 80 projects with the National Trust, focusing on renewable energy systems, including heat pumps and biomass, to mansion properties and their wider estates.
